Shareholder

William K. Browning is a Shareholder and Co-Chair of the Klinedinst Employment and Labor Law Group. Mr. Browning has successfully tried and litigated a broad range of business and employment disputes, including: claims of wrongful termination, discrimination on the basis of sex, race, age, religion and national origin, retaliation, defamation, whistle blower claims, sexual harassment, wage & hour claims, unfair competition, trade secrets, privacy violations, and the host of other liability issues facing employers.

Mr. Browning represents a wide range of clients, from small businesses to national corporations, in all phases of employment litigation. An experienced trial attorney, he has been successful in numerous jury and bench trials. In addition to his litigation work, Mr. Browning provides proactive counseling to clients on a broad range of employment issues. His counseling helps keep clients out of court and focused on building successful businesses. His other experience includes Insurance Coverage Analysis, ADA Building Compliance Law and Healthcare Law. In virtually all litigation matters, Mr. Browning offers a “debrief” with clients after the case to examine the issues giving rise to the litigation, and how clients can avoid such issues going forward.

Prior to joining Klinedinst, Mr. Browning managed his own private law practice for ten years, with a focus on Employment Litigation, Risk Analysis, Business and General Litigation. Before entering the legal arena, Mr. Browning earned a MBA from San Diego State University, and worked in management in several growing businesses, providing him with a unique perspective on the challenges his clients face. He is active in the San Diego County Bar Association, and admitted to practice in all California State Courts, the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Central Districts of California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
