Robert L. Clarkson is a Shareholder in the downtown Los Angeles office of Klinedinst PC. A practicing trial attorney with over 27 years of experience, Mr. Clarkson is frequently called upon to represent clients in complex, "bet the company" business litigation. Many of his cases involve class action lawsuits, complicated insurance coverage issues, directors and officers (D&O) cases, and shareholder derivative lawsuits. He is accustomed to representing clients in both state and federal courts, and is an experienced appellate attorney. He has also participated in commission lawsuits, partnership disputes, administrative hearings before government agencies, and NASD arbitrations, including cases alleging elder abuse. Mr. Clarkson has collectively overseen the settlement of lawsuits involving tens of millions of dollars. A native of North Carolina, Mr. Clarkson earned his J.D. degree from Pepperdine University School of Law. During law school, he was a member of the Pepperdine Law Review. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Washington & Lee University. He is a member of the Los
Angeles County Bar Association, and has been licensed to practice law in California
