Reina G. Minoya serves as Counsel in the Sacramento office of Klinedinst PC, and helps lead the office's Employment Law Practice Group. In addition to employment law, Ms. Minoya's areas of practice include business litigation, professional liability, and general liability. She is an Associate Liaison to the Executive Committee of Klinedinst PC, and Co-Chairs the firm's Writing Committee. Ms. Minoya is licensed to practice law in the states of California and Hawaii. Ms. Minoya represents employers on a wide variety of state and federal employment topics and counseling issues. Her defense of employers has encompassed many different claims on issues such as harassment, discrimination, wage/hour violations and wrongful termination. She has also counseled employers on pre-litigation matters such as failure to accommodate, harassment/discrimination issues, misconduct investigations, employee handbooks, and workers' compensation issues. She is a frequent speaker on various employment and labor law issues. Ms. Minoya received her Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, graduating with a concentration in International Legal Studies. While in law school, she was a member of both the Mock Trial Competition Team and the William C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Team, as well as an active board member of the Student Bar Association. Ms. Minoya is fluent in Japanese and French, and worked as a law clerk to a judge for the Circuit Court of Hawaii, First Circuit. Ms. Minoya is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the California State Bar, the Sacramento County Bar Association, the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Legal & Legislative Team of the Sacramento Area Human Resources Association.
