Mark J. Goldsmith joined the Los Angeles office of Klinedinst as an associate in 2006. His practice spans several fields, focusing primarily upon defense of real estate professionals, professional liability defense, and general business litigation. Mr. Goldsmith's experience encompasses all facets of litigation, including motion work, depositions, settlement negotiations, pre-trial workup and trial. He has litigated extensively in both state and federal court. Mr. Goldsmith was recognized in both the 2009 and 2010 as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers®. Only the top 2.5% of attorneys in the state ever make it into Rising Stars, designed to highlight attorneys under 40 who are already making a name for themselves in the legal profession. Mr. Goldsmith received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles before attaining his J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law, in Lexington, Virginia. While attending Washington and Lee, he was a member of the Virginia Capital Case Clearinghouse legal clinic, and was published in the Winter 2004 and Spring 2005 editions of the Clinic's journal. Mr. Goldsmith began his legal career as a Judicial Extern for the Los Angeles Superior Court, and worked as a summer law clerk with Klinedinst in 2005.
