Associate

Leah A. Plaskin joined Klinedinst’s San Diego team as an associate in 2006. Before joining Klinedinst, Ms. Plaskin practiced general civil litigation, with an emphasis in public entity and insurance defense. She has been practicing law in California since 2003.

In 2009, Ms. Plaskin was recognized as a top Young Attorney by the San Diego Daily Transcript. The annual award recognizes local attorneys based on a number of criteria, including work ethic, knowledge of law, professionalism, and commitment to furthering the interests of justice in society. Ms. Plaskin was only the second Klinedinst associate to ever receive this honor.

Ms. Plaskin received her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2003, graduating cum laude. During law school, she received the CALI award for top grades in torts, judicial lawmaking, child rights and remedies, and family law. In addition, she was a member and comment editor for the San Diego International Law Journal, and served as an academic support leader for torts.

Ms. Plaskin obtained her undergraduate degree cum laude from the University of California at Los Angeles, where she majored in American Literature and Culture.
