Jeffrey R. Groendal joined the Los Angeles office of Klinedinst PC as an associate in 2012. Mr. Groendal has broad experience in business transactions and litigation, commercial litigation and arbitration, appellate practice, healthcare provider representation, employment litigation (management side), real estate transactions, and intellectual property registration and litigation.

In all of the foregoing fields, Mr. Groendal has served both large and mid-sized privately-held companies in addition to entrepreneurs. He has tried cases in both state and federal courts in California and Nevada.

He also frequently serves as outside general counsel to a variety of businesses, advising on matters of employment, corporate governance, regulatory and agency issues, and expansion and acquisitions. Mr. Groendal has drafted and negotiated complex asset purchase and stock purchase agreements, limited partnership agreements, real estate transaction documents, loan agreements, securities and stock subscription agreements, private placement memorandums, licensing agreements, and e-commerce agreements.

From 2008 to 2012, Mr. Groendal was an associate for a full-service firm in Irvine, California. He graduated magna cum laude in 2002 from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, with an emphasis in finance and business communication. Mr. Groendal graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2007, having served as a founding editorial board member of the Journal of Business, Entrepreneurship and the Law. During law school, Mr. Groendal also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Terry J. Hatter, United States District Judge for the Central District of California.

Mr. Groendal is licensed to practice law in both California and Oregon.
