Associate

W. Jason Scott in an associate in the Sacramento office of Klinedinst PC. Mr. Scott works with the firm's corporate clients, focusing primarily on business, professional liability, and land use/environmental issues.

As part of his practice, Mr. Scott represents professionals and entities in a wide array of liability, contract, and apellate matters. He has tremendous experience defending contractors and utilities in construction defect litigation, including premises liability, construction site injury, and general litigation matters. He has also represented physicians and medical facilities in medical malpractice actions, as well as brokers and real estate agents accused of professional negligence.

Mr. Scott has litigated many cases involving land use and environmental issues, including eminent domain, inverse condemnation, and contamination of soil and ground water. He has also helped clients ensure compliance with a variety of state and federal environmental laws, including CEQA, underground storage tanks, and air quality control regulations.

Mr. Scott served four years in the United States Navy as a diver. He was active in multiple military campaigns around the world, and was recognized for his service with several medals, awards, and honors. Upon completion of his tour, he went on to earn his undergraduate degree from California State University in Sacramento, focusing on Business Management and Finance. He then went on to receive his J.D. from University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
