Greg Hensrude has an active litigation and pre-litigation practice, focusing on representing professionals and corporations in a full range of litigated matters, and counseling companies on forming contracts, avoiding antitrust liability, protecting intellectual property and other corporate issues. Mr. Hensrude has experience in every aspect of litigation, from answering the complaint to cross-examining witnesses during a jury trial, and possesses a breadth of knowledge about the legal issues that impact large and small corporations. Mr. Hensrude has also assisted clients with regulatory actions and investigation, such as those before the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), the California Board of Accountancy, and the California State Bar. Corporate Guidance and Litigation As a member of Klinedinst’s General Counsel, Intellectual Property, and Business Litigation teams, Mr. Hensrude has built relationships with corporate officers to become a trusted resource for help in balancing the often-competing goals of reducing liability exposure and maximizing profits. He prides himself on being the “front line” legal contact for corporate entities, providing them guidance related to virtually all of the subjects important to small and medium-sized businesses. He has advised clients in trademark disputes, employment practices, antitrust matters, and contract formation and enforcement. When pre-litigation efforts are unsuccessful, Mr. Hensrude’s clients rely upon his litigation expertise. Mr. Hensrude has litigated numerous business cases in state and federal court, including breach of contract, intellectual property, unfair business practices, collections, indemnity, and premises liability. While Mr. Hensrude often assists clients in defending such claims, he also brings actions to enforce contracts, remedy harm, or collect business debts. Mr. Hensrude also prosecutes and opposes trademark applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. A native of Seattle, Washington, Mr. Hensrude graduated from the University of Washington School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Hensrude was a Comments Editor on the Pacific Rim Law and Policy Journal, where he published “Awakening Hong Kong’s Sleeping Lion: A Case for Increased Use of O 62 r 8,” a discussion of how to best hold lawyers accountable for wasting litigants’ money. He also clerked for the Washington State Attorney General and the Illinois Migrant Legal Assistance Project in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Hensrude graduated in 2000 from Western Washington University with a B.A. in Political Science. While at WWU, Mr. Hensrude studied and authored a thesis on school finance reform.
