General Counsel

Daniel S. Agle is a key member of Klinedinst's Professional Liability Group who also handles a variety of general litigation matters.

As an active member of the Professional Liability Group, Mr. Agle defends professionals, including attorneys and accountants, in both federal and state court, and in binding arbitration. Mr. Agle has defended claims ranging from those with small demands to cases with potential damages of over $100,000,000. In defending his professional clients, Mr. Agle has had significant success obtaining dismissals through pre-trial motions including demurrers, motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, and anti-SLAPP motions.

In addition to assisting his professional clients with their litigation needs, Mr. Agle has handled more than fifty disciplinary matters before the Commission on Judicial Performance, the California State Bar Court, and the California Board of Accountancy.

Mr. Agle assists both plaintiffs and defendants with general civil disputes, both in the pre-litigation stage as well as in active litigation. He has focused on securities disputes, shareholder derivative litigation, contract disputes, financial fraud actions, and trade secret litigation.

Mr. Agle is also a trained mediator, having served as a mediator in Small Claims Court and as both mediator and arbitrator at the Center for Conflict Resolution. That training and experience has helped Mr. Agle successfully represent his clients through mediation and other forms of informal negotiation.

Mr. Agle earned his Juris Doctorate from J. Reuben Clark Law School, Brigham Young University, where he graduated cum laude. While in law school, he served on the Editorial Board of the BYU Law Review and worked as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Anthony W. Schofield of the Fourth District Court of Utah.
