New Labor Commissioner Invites Sharing of Concerns Regarding Recent Changes to Meal and Rest Period Enforcement Practices

In the fresh light of Murphy v. Kenneth Cole Productions, the new California State Labor Commissioner, Angela Bradstreet, seeks the public’s input regarding how recent changes to the meal and rest period enforcement practices required by the Labor Code, the Murphy case, and related case law have impacted their daily work lives. The commissioner will accept written comments that are received by the close of business on August 31, 2007.
