Immigration Bill Passes House

The U.S. House of Representatives has approved HR 4437, which proposes to increase penalties for hiring undocumented workers while simultaneously providing a cap for each offense. The legislation also requires
employers to electronically verify the work eligibility of all their employees within a six-year period. The bill is currently under consideration by the U.S. Senate.
