Alumnus of Klinedinst's Summer Intern Program Picked 3rd Overall in UFL Draft

SACRAMENTO - Klinedinst congratulates former summer intern Justin Goltz, who was recently selected 3rd overall in this year's United Football League draft. Justin worked as a Summer Intern for Klinedinst PC in Los Angeles in 2007, between his junior and senior years at Occidental College.

The United Football League is a professional football league that currently consists of 5 teams, and is looking to expand in upcoming years. Founded by Bill Hambrecht, the UFL was designed to be a complementary league to the NFL, able to bring football to more cities and allow every fan access to professional-caliber football games.

In this year's UFL draft, the Sacramento Mountain Lions selected Justin Goltz as their top choice. "It is rare that someone so interested in Sports Law will have the opportunity to first be able to experience the mechanics of sports organizations from the perspective of a professional athlete," said Hartford Brown, the Los Angeles-based Shareholder who chairs the firm's Sports and Entertainment Law Department. "While at Klinedinst, Justin was a great help to us and a valued member of our team. We know he will be a valuable member of the Sacramento Moutain Lions, too."

The UFL's third overall draftee had already spent time in the Detroit Lions mini-camp in 2009, where he signed as an undrafted free agent. Although he went to smaller Division III Occidental College, his three years as a starter must have turned some heads as he went to training camp with the well-known NFL players, including Matt Stafford and Daunte Culpepper.
