Seven New Associates Join the Klinedinst Team

SAN DIEGO, CA - Klinedinst is pleased to announce the addition of seven new associates, who bring a broad range of skills and experience to the firm. Michael M. Linley, David G. Fromm, and Julie M. Edmunds have joined the firm's Los Angeles office, Christopher D. Holt has joined the firm's Orange County office, while Leah M. Dickie, Gregor A. Hensrude, and Micaela P. Shelton practice in San Diego.

Michael M. Linley has experience handling a variety of civil litigation matters, defending corporate and individual clients in employment matters, general liability, construction defect, product liability, business disputes litigation, and insurance litigation. He received a B.A. from the University of Kansas in 1994, where he earned the Robert Earl Pringle Scholarship and was on the University's Honor Roll. Michael received his J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis Missouri in 1998, where he earned the highest grade in Trial Advocacy and Aliens and the Law writing seminar.

David G. Fromm's primary area of practice is civil litigation. He obtained his B.A., magna cum laude, from Boston College in 1993. He received his M.A. from the Central European University in Prague before earning his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1998. David was an editor of the Georgetown International Environmental Law Review and a featured columnist in the Georgetown Law Weekly. He is admitted to practice in all California state courts and Massachusetts state courts.

Julie M. Edmunds practices in the areas of appellate, business litigation, casualty/general liability, environmental law, estate planning, litigation, and real estate. She received her B.A., cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1998. Julie received her J.D., With Great Distinction, from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2003. During law school, she worked for the charitable trusts, lands, environment, and natural resources divisions of the California Attorney General's Office. She also served as Chief Symposium Editor for the McGeorge Law Review.

Christopher D. Holt graduated, cum laude, from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law where he earned his J.D. in 2003. He also received his M.B.A. from the University of Arizona, Eller College of Business and Public Administration in May 2003. Christopher obtained his B.S., with honors, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1993. While studying at the University of Arizona, Christopher pursued a wide array of clerking experiences where he gained experience in governmental law, media law, first amendment broadcast applications, franchise law, land use law, ordinance development and enforcement, and municipal operations. Christopher practices in the areas of bankruptcy, business, general counsel, international law, litigation, and real estate law.

Leah M. Dickie obtained her B.A., cum laude, from the American University in 1999. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2003. While at Pepperdine, Leah was a Dean's Scholar, a member of the Pepperdine University Law Review and received CALI awards for top grades in Mediation and International and Commercial Arbitration. Leah practices in the areas of business, construction, international law, and sports and entertainment law. She brings a wealth of experience from researching international trade issues relating to the North American Free Trade Agreement, monitoring proceedings under the UNCITRAL rules, and the docket of the International Center for the Settlement of Investment Disputes.

Gregor A. Hensrude joins the firm's professional liability, casualty/general liability, and restaurant/hospitality practices. He received his B.A. from the University of Washington in 2000, and his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law in 2003. While in law school, Greg was a Comments Editor of the Pacific Rim Law and Policy Journal. He also participated in the Client Counseling Competition, the Appellate Advocacy Competition, and clerked for the Washington State Attorney General and the Illinois Migrant Legal Assistance Project.

Micaela P. Shelton came to Klinedinst from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law where she received her J.D., With Great Distinction, in 2003. She also received her B.A., cum laude, from Washington State University in 2000. Micaela received the Witkin Legal Institute award for top grades in property, torts, criminal law, and constitutional law. In addition, she was a member of the Mock Trial Competition Team, where her team took first place at the Texas Young Lawyers Association Regional Competition. Micaela was also the Assistant Managing Editor for the Transnational Law Journal.
