October 25, 2001 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Klinedinst Attorney Called To Serve) SAN DIEGO, CA - Klinedinst attorney Mark H. Nys recently returned to active military duty, in response to President George W. Bush's activation of a planned 35,000 reservists. Mark, a commander in the United States Navy, will serve on the U.S.S. Coronado through 2002, and will return to Klinedinst upon completion of his active duty. The Coronado is the command ship for the U.S. Third Fleet. "We are proud to have a member of the firm serving our country directly," said John Klinedinst, the firm's CEO. "We know Mark will do a great job." Mark was in active duty from 1985-1993, and served in the reserves until his recent call to service. He has been awarded two Navy Achievement Medals and one Navy Commendation Medal. For Klinedinst, Mark handles a variety of corporate and litigation matters including construction defect, environmental law, intellectual property, and mobile home park defense. He is a member of the patent bar. Originally from Santa Maria, California, Mark Nys graduated from Claremont McKenna College in 1985 and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He received a Graduate Certificate in Hazardous Materials Management from UC-Irvine before attending California Western School of Law and earning his Juris Doctorate in 1997.
